How To Locate Shared Mailboxes in New Outlook

New Outlook
The New Outlook is being rolled out and Microsoft have made some changes to the way you find and view your shared mailboxes. This short How To guide will show you how to locate these shared mailboxes, ensuring you don’t miss those important emails!

The New Outlook is still officially in Preview at time of writing, so some features are still missing and may yet come across. But if you want to try it out, it’s a new fresher way of managing your email. You can still switch back to the classic experience if it’s not (yet) for you.

Locating the Shared Mailboxes

Open the New Outlook desktop application (If you aren’t sure which version you are using, look for the New Outlook logo in the Start menu).

New Outlook

Look for your email address in the panel on the left-hand side and click on it to expand the mailbox.

Look for 'Shared with me'
Look for ‘Shared with me’

You will now be able to see all the folders in your mailbox.

Look for the ‘Shared with me’ folder and click to expand it.

That’s it! You will now be able to view all the mailboxes that have been shared with you and click on each mailbox to expand and view the folders inside.
